Online Tuition in Kolkata
For Kolkata's CBSE, ICSE and West Bengal Board families — lessons built around your child's actual textbook.
Kolkata has a long-standing tradition of valuing strong academics, and its schools — CBSE, ICSE and the West Bengal Board alike — expect genuine depth in English and Mathematics from an early age. We match our lessons to your child's specific board and textbook, since each moves at a different pace and in a different order.
For many families in Kolkata, English is the medium of instruction at school but not always the language spoken at home, which can make written comprehension and composition feel harder than they should. We spend real time on those fundamentals, alongside Mathematics, Science, Hindi and Kannada for families keeping that language alive.

Madhyamik, boards and languages in Kolkata
West Bengal’s board exam at the end of Class 10 is the Madhyamik, conducted by the WBBSE — a name no other state uses, and one reason Kolkata parents are wary of tuition that talks in generic "board exam" terms. Kolkata also has a long ICSE tradition, so the English paper is often taken more seriously here than elsewhere.
Bengali is taught as a language subject in schools across the state, and we do not teach Bengali. Where we help is English, Hindi, Mathematics and Science — including Hindi for children in CBSE and ICSE schools whose families speak Bengali or English at home.

Questions parents ask
Do you prepare children for the Madhyamik exam?
Yes. For WBBSE children we teach from the school textbook and, in Classes 9 and 10, add practice in the answer formats the Madhyamik paper expects — full working shown, answers structured for the marks available.
Do you teach Bengali?
No. Our subjects are English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Kannada. Bengali, taught as a language subject across the state, needs a local tutor.
Are your tutors in Kolkata, and do they come home?
Our tutors are based in India — Bengaluru mostly — and every class is live and online, one-on-one over video. So no, we do not send a tutor to your home in Kolkata; what you get instead is a tutor who is free to be chosen for how well they teach your child’s board and subject rather than for living nearby.
